Four North Koreans orchestrated murder of Kim Jong Un's half brother

A North Korean male suspect linked to the murder of Kim Jong Nam, the now-deceased half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, was arrested on Friday night, Royal Malaysia Police (RMP) said on Saturday in a written statement.

The Indonesian woman arrested for killing Kim Jong Un's half-brother may have been duped into carrying out the attack, according to Associated Press.

Selangor police chief, Datuk Abdul Samah Mat, told NK News that two women would be remanded for seven days from Thursday.

Police were meanwhile questioning two women - one traveling on a Vietnamese passport and the other on an Indonesian document - as well as a Malaysian man. A Malaysian man has also been detained.

North Korean diplomats in Kuala Lumpur tried - unsuccessfully - to stop an autopsy from taking place and are now seeking the return of Kim Jong Nam's body.

They said the corpse could only be released to next of kin.

The North Korean ambassador, while taking to the reporters outside the morgue late on Friday, said that the Malaysian officials may be "trying to hide something" and "colluding with hostile forces".

Malaysia is one of the few countries that North Korea has diplomatic relations with.

It also quoted Cha Du Hyeogn, former intelligence secretary to former South Korean president Lee Myung Bak, as saying that Kim Jong-nam was known to have used commercial e-mail addresses.

A senior Malaysian police official told the AP that "North Korea had objected to the autopsy but Malaysia went ahead with it anyway because the North did not submit a formal protest".

IGP Khalid Abu Bakar said in a statement that the authorities "positively identified" the woman from CCTV footage at the airport.

A Japanese journalist who knew and wrote a book on Kim Jong-Nam on Friday said he was a courageous man who sought to reform his country.

After he was sprayed with the poison, he was taken to the medical clinic inside the airport terminal and put in an ambulance, but he died on his way to hospital.

Malaysia said on Friday it wants DNA samples from Kim Jong Nam's family as part of the post-mortem procedure and that officials were not yet willing to hand the body over to the North Koreans.

Speaking outside a Kuala Lumpur hospital, according to Reuters, he added that "we will categorically reject the result of the post mortem conducted unilaterally excluding our attendance".

Now, The Guardian reports on a possible motive for the two women's attack: They thought they were on a TV prank show.

Photographs, said to be the last moments of Kim Jogn-nam have been published by Straits.

Yesterday we told you about the positively James Bond-esque murder of Kim Jong-Nam, the half brother of angry little man and North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un.

He reportedly fell out of favour in 2001 when he was caught trying to enter Japan on a false passport to visit Tokyo Disneyland.
