Russia Compiles Psychological Dossier on Trump for Putin: Ex-Deputy Minister

"Wouldn't it be great if we actually got along with Russian Federation?" And yet Trump keeps saying that it would be great if we did.

While there is so much about Trump to be covered at the moment, show host John Oliver, decidedly took a detour in yesterday's show while staying connected to the United States president.

In just his second episode back on air this season, John Oliver devoted his deep-dive segment Sunday night to the longstanding connections between the Trump administration and the Russian Federation.

"I've talked a lot of shit, and to his credit, Trump has not had me murdered", Oliver said. "Our human rights record is flawed, but it does not compare to Putin's Russian Federation". Much of that record-namely, his role in the mysterious deaths of numerous journalists and activists-hasn't been proven, but is generally believed to be true. We know we did. And the way in which Trump dismisses all of this is beyond worrisome.

And a former prime minister under Putin told the network the Kremlin was not amused by Trump's foibles during the first month of his presidency. "Never try for a better word because it doesn't exist".

Trump's public remarks about Russian Federation and Putin were examined as Oliver noted the very real shroud of doubt surrounding Putin, who is routinely idolized in Russian Federation via a state-run press corps with techno-pop songs singing his macho praises and fawning photo ops where he allegedly plucked an antiquity out of the sea. That's not exactly the step toward world peace you're probably hoping for.

Oliver further analysed Donald Trump's obsession with Russian Federation.

"Don't get me wrong: America has had, and continues to have, endemic problems that need fixing; that might as well be the title of this show". Them, good vs. evil Cold War propaganda promotion.

The segment ends with Oliver reiterating why befriending Putin might be bad - he might demand the end of USA sanctions, the weakening of North Atlantic Treaty Organisation and more - with a "shitty techno song" meant for Trump.

Make sure you watch the clip to the end to see Oliver's last-ditch effort to get his message across to Trump in the only way he thinks might stick: "Shitty techno music". Become a subscriber and support the site!
