David Parry belligerent in golf cart theft

David Parry

The driver told police Parry hit him in the head after he dropped Parry and two other men off at an apartment complex near Osborn and Scottsdale roads.

That was the eventful, allegedly drunken Friday night for Indianapolis Colts defensive lineman David Parry, according to police in Scottsdale, Ariz., via the Indianapolis Star.

When all was said and done, Parry was charged with driving under the influence, auto theft, suspicion of robbery, criminal damage and resisting arrest.

Police arrested Parry, 24, just after 2:30 a.m. when they found the cart crashed into a gate and Parry on the sidewalk nearby, apparently drunk. Parry antagonized the officers, using gay slurs and calling them "fat f--s", according to officers. Police had to remove a brace on his left wrist, on which Parry had previously had surgery to fit the cuffs.

That's when Parry got belligerent and profane, according to a police report obtained by TMZ. Police also did not administer a breath test because of Parry's repeated "dry heaving", but drew blood from his arm, which is legal to do without a warrant in Arizona.

You can bet that new Colts general manager Chris Ballard will likely be asked about the Parry situation when he meets with media Wednesday at the combine.

Parry totaled 47 tackles and three sacks during the 2016 season and was one of only two players on the defense to start all 16 games along with Erik Walden.
