Putin ready to meet Trump in Finland if it hosts summit

"We are seeing what's going on. And we aren't interfering in any way".

On Wednesday, the Senate Intelligence committee begins its probe of Russian interference, where it will also pursue alleged contacts between Donald Trump associates and Russia.

Committee member and Virginia Democratic Senator Mark Warner said Putin "ordered a deliberate campaign carefully constructed to undermine our election".

Putin added that meetings with Russian bankers and businessmen are cited in USA reports "every now and then, but American businessmen also come to talk to Russian counterparts and Cabinet members".

"Read my lips: no new taxes", however, was said not by Reagan but his successor, former President George H.W. Bush, who made the pledge during the 1988 campaign.

For emphasis, he pronounced the last word in English. "The anti-Russian card is played by different political forces inside the United States to trade on that and consolidate their positions inside", Putin said in Russian".

He also warned that the escalation of tensions would contradict American interests.

Russia's daily oil production in 2014 was 309,000 barrels of oil from the Arkhangelsk region, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration. "All these are used for domestic American political agendas".

"If not, I think such a meeting [with the United States president] may be held as part of ordinary meetings of this kind at the G20 summit [due in Germany in July]", he said.

"Do we want to bring the situation to what it was during the Cuban Missile Crisis of the 1960s?"
We don't want to compete with the U.S.: "We all know that the U.S. spends more on defense than the rest of the world", continued Putin.

The two leaders have previously spoken by phone, however, the extent of their relationship has been subject to public scrutiny since the USA intelligence community and Trump's political opponents accused Moscow of sponsoring a series of hacks allegedly meant to damage the Democratic Party in last year's presidential race and allow Trump to win.

"Isn't it nonsense?" he said.

Putin said on Wednesday that Russian Federation has remained open to a "broad partnership with other nations to carry out mutually beneficial projects in tapping natural resources, developing global transport corridors and also in science and environment protection". "If it happens we would be glad to participate and I would be glad to attend", Putin said. "Of course they hold meetings", Putin said, without explicitly naming the men in question.

"They try to accuse us of some sort of aggressive behavior". Otherwise how can they work?
