The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Began in 2D

Right from the start, the civilians that you meet as you journey through Hyrule in Breath of the Wild are constantly telling you about cooking and creating concoctions with the ingredients you find around the world.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild feels like it was put together by artists and craftsmen.

In short - it depends on how you're using your console. There's no need to make such a drastic distinction here, and in fact, Nintendo have nearly gone out of their way to say that both Switch and Wii U would be getting a practically identical experience, outside of graphical resolution.

According to Digital Foundry, which ran its usual tests on a new game, the game has many hiccups when played on a television, but shrinking the resolution down to the Switch's smaller screen clears up enough bandwidth and CPU power to help it run more optimally.

The first cooking pot you'll come across is to the south of Temple of Time, near the border of your starting area, just east of Owa Daim Shrine. Everything you do influences the story in one way or another. You also have some nifty magical powers, like the ability to freeze water, move objects magnetically or stop time, as well as a smartphone-like device used to access your map, inventory and list of quests. For starters, you can cook a steak on it. It definitely doesn't hold you hand, but it gives you an idea of what to do next. You can eat many ingredients raw if you're hurting, but you'll get a lot more nutrition (read: hearts) from cooked food.

Cooking makes otherwise common items much more valuable. The more shrines you find, the more fast travel locations you'll have.

After you first try to pull it, you'll get a cutscene with the Great Deku Tree, providing a little backstory with the blade and saying you need a high amount of strength in order to pull it.

It's the same with Legend of Zelda - vantage points will allow you to see what lies ahead and to prevent you from waking up in front of a big and mean boss. Horses are generally disobedient early on, but as you build your bond with them they'll be more likely to behave themselves.

On the plus side, it can not ever break, so it's a handy weapon to always have on standby whenever you aren't facing Calamity-tainted beasts and need something of a good strength to defend yourself with.
