Call Of Duty: WWII Is On The Way

The next Call of Duty is going back to World War II.

Yesterday, Call of Duty: WWII was officially revealed by Activision and Sledgehammer Games but they didn't reveal too much other than the title and some promo art.

While we are still awaiting details to arrive for Call of Duty: WWII through official channels, newly leaked information prepares us for things to come.

Update: Following last month's extensive leak, Activision today made Call of Duty: WWII official. It was only 2007's call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare that saw the game move into "contemporary times" when the game's popularity soared and set the template for future games.

We'll have more details after the livestream.

Last but not least, Sledgehammer shared a brief video on Twitter in which studio head Michael Condrey talks about the upcoming title while standing outside the Churchill War Rooms in London.

Call Of Duty: WWII Is On The Way

Call of Duty: WWII is scheduled to be released this November.

A leaked ad popped up that describes a new gameplay mode for the latest entry in the Call of Duty franchise. As you can see, the front cover shows that Sony still have first dibs on the game's DLC. But it also teases that there will be new social elements for Call of Duty: World War 2. The full reveal trailer for the game is set to debut Wednesday, April 26 at 10 AM PST.

Likewise, it's worth noting that Activision has already thrown their hat in with the Nintendo Switch with the more recent port of Skylanders Imaginators to the new handheld console.

The Call of Duty: WWII release date is in November 2017 unless there is some kind of massive change to the development and release cycle.

Activision revealed today the title of its upcoming game Call of Duty: WWII along with a picture of a soldier wearing a USA military helmet. It's also returning to the World War II era, and you can see all the inspirations of the era with the weapons, the equipment and the scenery.
