Gorillaz to kick off tour at Northerly Island

Gorillaz Announce North American Tour Dates for This Summer and FallHumanz Due Out April 28 via Warner Bros. Now the band has announced a North American tour. They will also appear at the Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival in San Francisco, the Meadows Music & Arts Festival in NY and at the III Points Festival in Miami, Florida. Pusha said he'd make himself available for at least five of the tour dates, essentially letting us know that there'd be more than five dates total. It was previously reported that the band was planning a USA version of its Demon Dayz Festival in the Windy City, though today's press release offers no confirmation of this. The outings will feature the animated members created by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett joined by live musicians, according to Billboard. The tour follows Gorillaz latest album, also titled "Humanz", which is set to be released on April 28th. In recent months, the Gorillaz have released a variety of content from the new album, which features Vince Staples, D.R.A.M, De La Soul, Grace Jones, Popcaan, and Danny Brown.
