Hoffenheim 1 Bayern Munich 0: Kramaric strike secures historic win

Hoffenheim's win away to Hertha Berlin last Friday helped to keep their dream of a top-four finish alive

After thumping Augsburg 6-0 on Saturday, Bayern are unbeaten in their last 20 games dating back to November, but play third-placed Hoffenheim then host arch-rivals Borussia Dortmund, who are fourth, on Saturday.

Andrej Kramaric scored the only goal as Hoffenheim moved to within a point of second-placed RB Leipzig, but needed their goalkeeper to pull off a string of fine saves after the break to do so.

Hoffenheim took advantage of Bayern's changes by dominating the opening half and took a deserved lead on 21 minutes.

Indeed, since they've managed to score in their last eight league trips to the Allianz we're backing Bayern to win and both teams to score.

A poor clearance from Bayern defender Mats Hummels was snapped up by ex-Leicester City striker Kramaric who slammed his shot past Ulreich.

The visitors' best chance of getting back on level terms came in first-half injury time when Robert Lewandowski hit the bar from close range after being set up by Kingsley Coman on the counter-attack.

With time running out, Lewandowski forced Hoffenheim goalkeeper Oliver Baumann into a superb diving save as they hunted the equaliser.

In the final game of the evening, Milos Jojic's strike gave Cologne a 1-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt.

Dortmund gained momentum in the closing period and rounded off the game with a third goal when Aubameyang utilized Kagawa's through ball to round Hamburg goalie Rene Adler for the 25th goal of the season.

Schalke suffered their first defeat to Werder Bremen in nine years in losing 3-0 away. Our first half wasn't so good.

Max Kruse made it 2-0 from the penalty spot in the 76th minute after Benedikt Howedes had felled Finn Bartels. Ex-Dortmund midfielder Milos Jojic scored Cologne's victor in their 1-0 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt which moved his side up to fifth.
