Janet Jackson 'moved out of marital home a month ago'

Janet Jackson

After five years of marriage and only five months after giving birth to their son, Janet Jackson and Wissam Al Mana have shockingly split!

During Jackson's last concert tour, fans and critics noted she wore only one, matronly outfit, and did not vamp as seductively onstage as she has in years past. Jackson, 50, and her husband are said to have agreed that things weren't working and opted to break up - according to TMZ.

Janet married the businessman back in 2012, in an intimate ceremony. He may be thinking "cheaper to keep her" right about now, though.

News broke yesterday that Janet Jackson, musician and sister to king of pop, has parted ways with her billionaire husband.

"It drove her insane and she felt she was losing her fan base", added the source.

There was also mention of her husband's reluctance to show concern for her mother Katherine Jackson's care when abuse claims against her nephew Trent arose. "It's amicable and Eissa will stay with his mother", the source added. 'She was anxious about her mother - and Wissam showed little to no concern'.

The Mail on Sunday was the first to report the breakup news.

Metro.co.uk has contacted reps for Janet for comment.

While Jackson's previous divorces were made complicated by the money earned by the successful singer, her split from Al Mana is further complicated by her first child. In 1991, she married dancer and music video director Rene Elizondo Jr., whom she divorced in 2000.

42-year-old Al Mana is CEO of the multinational Al Mana business conglomerate.

A source told ET that Al Mana and Jackson's 3-month-old son, Eissa, was at Al Mana's home to visit, though Jackson was nowhere to be seen.
