Live video feed that showed giraffe birth to be taken down

The popular YouTube livestream of the giraffe's pen will come down Friday afternoon, staff at Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville, New York, announced on Thursday.

The giraffe and her calf will be introduced to the public when the park opens next month.

After a patient wait, the male calf was born last Saturday, to the delight of a global live audience that has sometimes numbered in the tens of millions. Opening day is May 13, according to Animal Adventure Park's Facebook.

April fans, your time with your beloved giraffe is coming to an end.

They said that was the plan all along.

Peace out, April. Thanks for mammaries memories! "I have learned so much and have made good friends from all over the world".

Inside Edition flew Dietrich and her new baby, Porter, to NY where the park's owner, Jordan Patch, introduced her to April.

Votes cost $1, but those interested in voting have to vote a minimum of five times. Within 10 days the park will reveal what April and Oliver's calf will be named.

For those still aching for more April updates, Animal Adventure Park has your back. The park's YouTube videos collectively received more than 254 million views. Thousands upon thousands of social media users voiced their frustration on Facebook and YouTube, and the stream was restored within an hour or so. "Dr Tim was on site and all is well", the Animal Adventure Park said. "This isn't the end", she said. Only League of Legends eSports channel has more, and you don't get the miracle of life watching that!
