President Trump to Mark 100th Day with 'Big Rally'

Trump US Italy President Donald Trump will bring his next rally to Pennsylvania when he appears next Saturday at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center in Harrisburg

Trump, tweeted from his personal account Saturday afternoon that the rally would be held Saturday, April 29, without immediately providing further details.

Ironically, one theory posits that Trump's ascendance to the presidency began at the 2011 White House Correspondents' Dinner.

But this is the first announcement Mr. Trump has made about where he will be instead, on his 100th day in the White House. The rally marks Trump's 100th day in office.

Trump flummoxed his staff this weekend by promising to unveil a "massive" tax cut as early as Wednesday - a hugely complicated and lengthy undertaking for which Congress has not been prepared.

Members of the media and political pundits have been using the 100-day standard to measure presidents' success since President Franklin Roosevelt's first term in 1933.

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump walks to the stage at a campaign rally in Pensacola, Florida, U.S., September 9, 2016.

Mr. Glassner said the rally, which will be the fourth in recent weeks, will review Mr. Trump's accomplishments since taking office in January.

The White House Correspondents' Dinner is usually a jovial night of light roasting. "Looking forward to seeing our bravest and greatest Americans!" he tweeted.
