Rob Gronkowski Reportedly Discussed WWE WrestleMania 33 Cameo with Patriots

This may be very hard to believe, but the New England Patriots actually signed off on TE Rob Gronkowski participating at Wrestlemania 33 in Orlando on Sunday.

It seemed like that was going to be the end of it, but then, suddenly, Gronkowski left the audience, entered the ring, and attacked Jinder Mahal.

Gronk got in the ring and took down Mahal, helping Rawley win the pre-show battle royal.

Mahal was part of the match with Gronkowski's friend and former Green Bay Packer Mojo Rawley.

"I'm feeling great. I'm good to go", Gronkowski told ESPN in an interview on Sunday prior to WrestleMania.

When it was time for the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, that's when things got a little interesting.

As happens with every WrestleMania, WWE tried to entice many famous faces to the event and struck gold with National Football League star Rob Gronkowski.

Big Show and Braun Strowman seemed like the heavy favorites to win the match, but unfortunately they were eliminated early on. He noted that his wrestling name would be "The Gronk" and his finishing maneuver is spiking his opponent's head into the mat.

Afterwards, Gronk jumped back in to give Rawley a massive hug and a chest bump.

"It was just an unbelievable experience", Gronkowski said about participating in WrestleMania.
