Ronald Koeman: What I really think about Everton's draw at Manchester United

Zlatan Ibrahimovic

United will be pleased with the comeback, but will be disappointed to have dropped points at home for the second time in a week.

United have certainly missed Ibrahimovic, as he's one of the few players with bronca and the desire to win things more than anything else in the world.

"I feel good", the striker added. I was really confident to keep the clean sheet tonight. "He came from Ecuador, arrived here, played 90 minutes, it was a big effort for him, we need to protect him".

"We are doing everything to create chances and to take our chances". We hit the post as always.

"It is part of the game, you can not always play".

"With the VAR (video assistant referee), we win this game 2-1 because it's not an offside", Mourinho said.

"It is a hard one for the linesman, I am not critical of him at all, I just say when the VAR comes it will help everyone, especially them".

Ibrahimovic nearly gave them the lift they needed in the first five minutes as he surged into the penalty area, but Williams thwarted him with a well-timed block.

The Red Devils went close to leveling matters in the 30th minute but Joel Robles produced a fine save to push Daley Blind's free-kick onto the crossbar.

However, United were awarded a penalty in the final minute of stoppage time when Ashely Williams handled in the box.

"We build well, but we don't score enough goals, we don't kill off enough opponents and at the end of this season I think we will be punished by that".

Much of United's play was in front of the Everton backline - often sideways and ponderous - without displaying any real strategy to breakdown the opposition.

"They kept going and kept going and obviously gave us that goal to give us the point".

"We played well - and had a lot of space on the counter-attack - we had to kill the game".

Everton, who were thrashed in their last outing which was the derby game against Liverpool, came determined to the Old Trafford.

The Portuguese said Shaw - who has made just two appearances for United in the past four months - was "a long way behind" his team-mates.

Gutted but Proud of the team!

"Our defending was terrific, it was really painful how we don't win the game".
