ABC is off and running with NBA Finals

The Cavaliers opened the NBA Finals with a 113-91 loss as 7 1/2-point underdogs, and followed up with a 132-113 loss as nine-point underdogs to fall to 1-4 against the spread over their past five games.

Durant's scoring has taken pressure off Stephen Curry and allowed the Warriors to withstand Cleveland runs so well that they haven't trailed after the first quarter in either game.

Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James shoots between Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green, top, guard Klay Thompson and forward Kevin Durant on Sunday. Only two of their games have been decided by fewer than 10 points.

"There's no feeling of, we're nearly there", Green said. They split the two games at home before reeling off three straight wins to become the fourth team to win the title after losing the first two games.

They take a 2-0 lead over Cleveland into Wednesday's Game 3, just as they did a year ago.

The Cavaliers forced 20 turnovers compared to a finals record-tying four in game one, for all the good it did them. "I think I'm pretty smart guy and I learned my lesson, so I went over the edge before, fool me once, you can't fool me twice".

"We know, trust me, we know".

Somehow, the Cavaliers have to change all that. They won Game 3 by 30 points and eventually became the first team in National Basketball Association history to recover from a 3-1 deficit to win the Finals. The opponent and the situation are the same, yet things feel different.

"I'm confident that we can play that way, and we did it past year". Tip-off of both games is 9 p.m.

They are averaging almost 119 points and winning by a record 16.9 per game in the postseason, and they've really picked it up lately.

When James began guarding Green in Game 3, the entire series began to shift. "He does so much for us on the defensive end, and his presence on the floor as a threat to shoot even if he doesn't get an attempt up". Kyrie Irving has played bad and has shot 40 percent from the field in the finals.

James remains confident he can still add a fourth championship to his resume, but he also knows it won't be easy.

The Cavaliers don't have that luxury. He was considered the second-best player in the National Basketball Association behind LeBron James.

'I thought for the most part with the game plan that we had we tried to execute it as close as possible, ' he told reporters after the game. "Understand that they have a unique opportunity to make us that much better, and for a majority of this season it's been on myself, Bron and K-Love's shoulders". "We have done a great job of getting everyone involved and making sure everyone feels comfortable". Coming to a tough environment, we knew it was going to be tough, but they won the first two games.

However, with SU and ATS victories in their past 11 road dates overall, the Warriors look poised to grab a 3-0 series lead Wednesday night. A lot of people said we couldn't, but that's our game.

Irving was a non-factor in the offense for most of the first half of Game 2, then went into playground mode in the fourth quarter and unsuccessfully tried to shoot his team back into contention.

The only other team in MLB, NFL or NHL history to win 14 consecutive games in the playoffs was the Pittsburgh Penguins, spanning the 1992 and 1993 hockey postseasons.

"Guys are locked in", Green said Tuesday.

But unlike previous year when he was forced into a lineup change because of Kevin Love's concussion, Lue said he's rolling out the same lineup in an 0-2 hole. Over the last four years with OKC (since 2012 when James Harden went to Houston), the Thunder ranked only 13th in the National Basketball Association with 2,572 made 3-pointers.
