Olympian Alysia Montaño Races Pregnant for a Second Time

Alysia Montano competed in the 800m race while being five months pregnant

Off the Internet, the multifaceted 31-year-old, who is making headlines for entering the USATF Outdoor Championships while pregnant for the second time, doesn't label herself in conventional terms.

Wearing a Wonder Woman sports bra and two flowers pinned in her hair, Montano was unperturbed by coming in last as she crossed the finish line at 2:21:40, smiling broadly with her arms raised.

She finished more than 19 seconds behind the victor on Thursday in extreme heat, recording a time of 2 minutes, 21.40 seconds.

Following the race on Sacramento, California Montano chased her two-year-old daughter around the track. I really define myself as a fighter for good.

As fans of Wonder Woman may already be aware, Gal Gadot revealed she and Maya went to work together for months, referring to the fact that she was expecting when she filmed Wonder Woman. The six-time national champion ran in the USATF Outdoor Championships three years ago, while eight months pregnant with her first child.

What do you think about the athlete's decision to run while pregnant?

Montano underlined this in a video she posted to her Twitter account before the race, encouraging her followers to "be your journey".

However, it's not all as it seems, as Montano is FIVE months pregnant and due to give birth in November.

"I wanted Wonder Woman to represent me", Montano reportedly said.

Montano foresees more success on the track following her second pregnancy, but she refuses to limit her goals to just achieving more on the track.

"I represent so many different people", she continued.
