Trump team garbles climate science — Science Says

The Times has since corrected its story

It must be realized that climate change is a subject one can no longer ignore because it has a direct bearing on the lives of people all over the world. The report listed the state as among the nation's hardest hit by wildfire in 2016, while issuing a broader warning for the future that rising temperatures would mean less snowfall and tighter water supplies in mountain regions. "Time is Running Out!"

But it's not a gauntlet laid down by outside scientists or activists. Learn what other climate threats have been observed for 2016.

It's a stark assessment of the realities of the climate crisis, and it seems to have the Trump administration's rhetoric and policies on climate change directly in its crosshairs.

The article later states "scientists fear the Trump administration could change or suppress the report". The story started to unravel when he indicated that the report had already been made public.

Turns out, the draft report has been publicly available for seven months, meaning the Times "scoop" was no scoop at all.

The alarmist climate media is at it again.

The New York Times reported those findings earlier this week.

"To treat a climate report that has been public for months and is now undergoing official comment by numerous federal agencies as a final document does a disservice to the American people".

Trump has previously dismissed climate change as "a hoax". While it was not widely publicized, the report was uploaded by the nonprofit Internet Archive in January; it was not first made public by The New York Times.

So, what's in the clandestine report? "It is also the most up-to-date one, since the latest IPCC report is now four years old". NOAA said this is the third consecutive year breaking the record of hottest years. The agreement, spearheaded by Trump's predecessor Barack Obama, and signed by 195 countries in April 2016, aims to fight climate change by reducing carbon emissions and limiting global temperature rises to below 2 degrees Celsius. It also attempted to paint ecofascists as good Samaritans who had no choice but to "leak" a report to save humanity. The almost 500 authors convened by NOAA explain the effects that are due both to long-term global warming and shorter-term weather events like El Niño. This month, he formally notified the United Nations that the US will withdraw from the Paris climate agreement, reneging on the nation's commitment to reducing heat-trapping pollutants. NOAA, which is under the Commerce Department, stands out among other federal agencies. To say this isn't to deny science. New data from thousands of studies have yielded a climate picture in sharper focus.

In the United States, the report finds with "very high" confidence the number and severity of cool nights has decreased, while the frequency and severity of warm days has increased since the 1960s. California billionaire and climate activist Tom Steyer tweeted that, "The Administration can not legally ignore this report".

Those heat waves have not yet been linked directly to human-influenced climate change, but they might yet be.

It's unclear what, if any, impact the report will really have.
