Here's your Columbus Day weekend forecast

National Weather Service graphic

Showers linger into Wednesday afternoon before that system finally pushes eastward. A warm front just to our north over the southern tier of NY early Saturday morning will continue to lift north today, keeping our area squarely in the warm sector for yet another day.

Above normal temperatures were with us Thursday with morning lows around 10 degrees above normal and afternoon highs near 5 degrees above normal. After that, Hurricane Nate will move through CT, but at that point it will just be a good heavy rain day with a breeze on Monday before moving out and bringing us some more seasonable air for much of next week. Low pressure approaching from the west could produce rain. It won't rain in most spots, but there could be a lone shower.

Warm and more humid; becoming cloudy with a shower toward dawn.

Partly cloudy skies and mild temperatures will be around, with a low of 62 degrees. Once it finally does pass over us, our temperatures will cool to the lower to mid 80s with low humidity.

Overnight: Isolated showers, cloudy - low around 68 with south wind around 11 miles per hour.

Columbus Day: Mostly sunny - high near 84. Dew point readings will be in the 60s to possibly near 70 degrees. I don't expect a washout, there will be lots of dry time and highs will reach the upper 60s & low 70s. Highs are expected to be near 80 for one final day!

Watch Meteorologist Ashley Baylor tonight for the latest on your local forecast and NATE as it gets closer to making a landfall across the Northern Gulf Coast.

Mostly clear, with a low around 38.

Rain from the remnants of Nate should end Tuesday morning and weather conditions are expected to improve during the afternoon. "CT could see up to 1-2" of rain if all the ingredients come together.
