Las Vegas Terrorist Booked Hotel Rooms Overlooking Lollapalooza In Chicago

Officials: Las Vegas Shooter Researched Possible Boston Locations

Stephen Paddock booked two rooms at the Blackstone Hotel in downtown Chicago, overlooking an expansive park where the popular music festival took place over four days in August, TMZ said.

Paddock's potential targets also included the most recent Lollapalooza festival in Chicago, which was held August 3 to August 6 in Grant Park, the officials said. TMZ is reporting that Paddock booked two hotel rooms at the Blackstone Hotel across the street and specifically requested that the rooms face the park. The music festival featured Chance the Rapper, Muse, Lorde and Blink-182.

Authorities discovered earlier this week that Paddock had also rented a room at The Ogden hotel, a 21-story high-rise, The Las Vegas Review Journal reported.

Las Vegas shooting suspect Stephen Paddock may have been considering attacks in both Chicago and Boston.

Paddock sent Danley on a trip to her native Philippines before the attack, and she was unaware of his plans and devastated when she learned of the carnage while overseas, she said in a statement.

If the killer had put his plan into execution, the shooting would no doubt have been even more deadly: the location of the scenes would have made it hard to leak to the public, and it is also significantly more numerous than in Las Vegas. "You have to make the assumption that he had some help at some point", Lombardo said.

Investigators plan to review footage from security cameras at the Ogden to determine if Paddock had targeted the Life is attractive three-day music and arts festival.

This wasn't the only festival he considering targeting before ultimately carrying out the attacks this week.

Danley said, "He wired me money, which he said was for me to buy a house for me and my family".

Paddock's girlfriend Marilou Danley was questioned by the Federal Bureau of Investigation on Wednesday and said in a statement she was unaware of the Paddock's plans. Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo told the media this week there was no suicide note left behind by Paddock, who shot himself as police closed in on him.

A law enforcement official told The Associated Press no evidence has been found that Paddock ever went to Chicago that weekend.

Ms Danley says she had no idea Paddock planned the shooting.

"There's all kinds of things that surprise us in each one of these events". The official, who was not authorized to discuss the investigation of Paddock's movements, spoke only on condition of anonymity after being briefed on the investigation.
