Jeremy Corbyn: I'm not calling for second European Union referendum

Britain's Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn

The Labour leader said the United Kingdom had to maintain many important relationships around the world.

The result gives Corbyn and Momentum, the group set up in the wake of his ascension to the leadership, an iron grip on the ruling body.

The British Parliament's Opposition Leader and chief of the UK Labour Party said he was "concerned" by Israel's refusal to grant entry to members of organizations promoting the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement, and blasted President Donald Trump for his "failure" to back the United Nations and United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

Blackadder star and Labour member Sir Tony Robinson accused supporters of Mr Corbyn of "undermining" Ms Black, whom he described as "a radical voice for ordinary members on the NEC with an awesome work rate".

'As a party we need our focus to be on stopping a Tory hard Brexit, not stopping Labour conference discussing Brexit; we need to replace Tory MPs, not deselect our hard-working Labour MPs we already have; and, encouraging young members, not closing down the Momentum youth section'.

Another MP told The Times that changing the rules could cause Mr Corbyn more problems.

■ THE LABOUR leader has stopped short of ruling out a second European Union referendum when the Brexit terms are known.

The others include China, India, the European Union and worldwide organizations, such as the UN, Corbyn told ITV's Peston on Sunday show. As Adam Boulton put it in his Sunday Times column, this means that for "the first time in Labour's history "the left" will dominate all three of the party's centres of power: the trade unions, the shadow cabinet in parliament and the national executive".

"But, at the moment, and as things now stand, we proceed in good faith, we do as we are instructed and we are leaving the European Union".

"We have said that we must respect the result of the referendum which means that we have to leave, but we have to look after the economy which, in my view, means that we don't go very far". "I think there are many important relationships".

Elections to rather obscure internal Labour committees rarely make the headlines.

"We have got the vote coming up this week on the EU (Withdrawal) Bill".

"The US one is obviously culturally and economically significant and important". Do we want a trading relationship that is tariff free? Yes.

He added: "I'm not sure anyone has succeeded in defining the special relationship".

"Also our relationship with global institutions such as the United Nations is very important".
