Lawsuit filed in Charlie Rose sexual harassment case

Charlie Rose Accused of Harassment By Extra 27 Ladies: Report

Three former junior female colleagues sued disgraced television anchor Charlie Rose and CBS News on Friday for discrimination, harassment and retaliation, seeking unspecified damages in NY.

-In 2011, a woman who worked at "CBS This Morning" said Rose forcibly kissed her at a holiday party.

The lawsuit also alleges Rose asked Harris and McNeal to share details of their sex lives, "boasted of his own sexual conquests" and suggested the two women should engage in a sexual relationship with each other.

"We will vigorously defend against the allegations pertaining to CBS News and Mr. Kadro", a CBS spokesperson said in a statement.

In November, The Washington Post reported on allegations of eight women who said Rose sexually harassed them at his namesake PBS program.

"During the week of May 2, 2017, Mr. Kadro approached Ms. Wei from behind, while Ms. Wei was seated at her desk and as an act of sexual harassment, kicked and shoved Ms. Wei's chair with substantial force, startling, intimidating and scaring Ms. Wei", the lawsuit states. Rose sexually harassed them and that managers knew about complaints against him before November, when he was sacked.

Ms. Harris, who worked at CBS before going to work for Mr.

The lawsuit alleges that Rose made sexually explicit comments and engaged in sexual contact with three employees. Both Harris and McNeal lost their jobs after Rose's PBS show was canceled in the wake of the Post's reporting. Harris left CBS last April to work for Rose directly at PBS, where the third plaintiff, Sydney McNeal, also worked as one of his assistants.

But, according to the complaint, the defendants "unlawfully failed and refused to take any remedial action and allowed Mr".

Rose could not immediately be reached for comment.

One of the women, Yuqing "Chelsea" Wei, was the news associate. and in the suit she says Rose referred to her as "China Doll".

Wei says she then filed a complaint with CBS human resources that went unanswered and was later reassigned to an entry level position by the network, which had questioned the accuracy of her time sheets. The lawsuit also accuses CBS executives of failing to warn the employees about Rose's history of sexual misconduct.

In the suit, Ms. Wei, an assistant, said she expressed concerns past year to the current executive producer of "CBS This Morning", Ryan Kadro, about the amount of attention that Mr.

CBS did not provide immediate comment on the lawsuit Friday. The lawsuit says that Wei's health suffered as a result of her experience with CBS. The new allegations date as early as 1976, when, as one woman claims, Mr.

They say they were subjected to "repeated, ongoing and unlawful physical and verbal sexual harassment" by Rose.

In the following three decades, three CBS managers had been made aware of the complaints, according to the Post investigation.
