First look at Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman in 'Wonder Woman 1984'

Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman 1984 directed by Patty Jenkins will release

Gal Gadot posted the above photo to Twitter early Saturday morning. Production will take place in Washington, D.C., Alexandria, Virginia, and in the UK, Spain and the Canary Islands, so hopefully we'll glimpse some more on-location shots throughout the summer - and, even better, here's hoping Gadot and Jenkins will keep the high-res teases coming.

Gal Gadot has shared a fresh look at Wonder Woman 1984, the highly anticipated sequel to Patty Jenkins' superhero smash. Below the actress showed a new look at her character in costume.

Previously, Gadot and director Patty Jenkins put out two other first look teaser photos now that the sequel is actively filming.

We've long known the sequel will move the action from World War i to the 1980s - specifically, 1984, as the now-official title confirms - and that the primary antagonist is Kristen Wiig, playing classic Wonder Woman villain Cheetah. Chris Pine also returns as Steve Trevor. Given the fact that last time we saw Trevor he was inside an airplane full of poison gas that he himself ignited into a glorious explosion, it's shocking to see him back.

Directed by Jenkins and starring Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig and Pedro Pascal, Wonder Woman 1984 is slated to hit theaters on November 1, 2019. That said, Warner Bros did manage to put together a trailer for "Justice League" while that movie was still in principle photography back in 2016, though that film was further along by that point.
