Gmail's major redesign will be available to all in July

The new Gmail will roll out to all users next month

The new Gmail, perhaps most notably, features confidential mode, which lets you set an expiration date on your email, so it disappears after a certain amount of time and the recipient sees an "email has expired" message instead.

Video: New Gmail design is here.

There's no word, though, on whether these changes will apply to regular users of Gmail. Next month, G Suite admins can either shift everyone to the new Gmail immediately, or let each employee decide whether they want to change.

This new redesign first started rolling out as an opt-in only setting for Gmail users back in late April, giving people the chance to try out the new UI before Google permanently flipped the switch.

And around 12 weeks after the launch of new Gmail, those who opted out will be automatically migrated to the new experience, and they won't be able to opt out then.

Considering most people seem to like the new interface, Google has chose to move everyone to the latest version starting in July. However, the redesign will be pushed onto everyone eventually, and around eight weeks after being made available to all users, Google says anyone who hasn't transitioned will automatically be moved to the new design.

This can house Google Calendar, Google Keep and Google Tasks all in an easily-accessed bar.

Google just announce a timeline for when you'll be getting the new Gmail, which includes how long you'll be able to stick with the old version. We'll retain the option to opt-out for four more weeks.

Google's Gmail major rewrite introduces many new, useful features.
