Abby Sunderland is safe and rescued by French fishermen

The solo sailor from America Abby Sunderland, a girl just of 16 years, was rescued Saturday by a French fishermen in the southern Indian Ocean, This has been informed by the parents of the young Californian. The 16 years old girl tried to go around the world alone in order to create a record in the world history.

Abby Sunderland father, Laurence Sunderland has revealed this to the press reporters standing outside his home early Saturday morning that the maritime authorities had contacted him to confirm that her daughter had been rescued. She lost her contacts for almost 20 hours and while talking to her father she informed about the high waves an emergency beacon triggered on Thursday 350km south-southeast of St. Paul Island, located approximately 3.000km of Reunion. Friday morning, a plane flew over the Australian Research in order to search Abby yacht , floating dismayed after being beaten by the winds and waves. The same day, the prefecture of Reunion had reported that three ships had been diverted by MRCC Meeting, including the fishing vessel “Reunion” that would join the yacht of 12m Saturday morning
