The actor of 38 years Canadian-born Corey Haim has died of a drug overdose early Wednesday morning. That’s what several sources reported quoting the police in Los Angeles. According to website TMZ.com devoted to celebrities, his mother found him unconscious in his apartment Oakwood, near Burbank. It would have dialed 911, and the actor transported to the hospital, was pronounced dead.
Corey Haim had achieved fame in the ’80s, turning several films, including The Lost Boys in 1987, with Corey Feldman.
Corey Haim was born in Toronto in 1971. It seems that the young man has experienced problems of drug use throughout his career. According to the Toronto newspaper The Globe and Mail, Corey Haim had opened his drinking problems in the London Sun in 2004. He added that he had smoked his first joint on the set of The Lost Boys.
An autopsy will be necessary to determine the causes of death. Police said that nothing suggests a violent death.
Haim exhibited influenza symptoms and was taking medication to counter the time of his death.
Haim was transported to hospital by ambulance from his apartment in Burbank.
He admitted in an interview in 2004, having used drugs, including marijuana, cocaine, crack, stimulants and Valium. At one time, “he revealed, he took up to 85 tablets per day.
