In an incident which is quite reminiscent with that of the Google’s Nexus One, details of an upcoming smartphone from Sony has been leaked. As per the information making rounds in the web, the smart phone from Sony is named Kanna U8i and is a QWERTY based slider phone. The details available reveal that the phone will be launched on the Symbian platform and would boast of Symbian S60 5th Edition OS. Moreover, features like 8.1 mega-pixel camera, microUSB port, wireless connectivity, 360X640 resolution has been boxed into the port. Apart form this, the phone will be laden with a powerful processor and HD video recording capabilities. Visuals of the phone are considered to resemble the Sony Kurara, but the most distinct feature seems to be its QWERTY. The rumor-mills consider that the phone will be substantially different from the existing portfolio of phones that the company already has.
As per details leaked, the phone will be hitting the shelves on February 14, 2010. This phone will mark its entry after the launch of Satio and the upcoming Kurara. Satio also features in list of U series phones that the company has come up with.
