The iPhone carrier received complaints from the consumers about the poor coverage in many cities including the major ones like New York, San Francisco. Following this complaint AT&T is making efforts to reduce the problems of network.
The AT&T is in its effort to reduce the dropped calls. At the same time, it is also in an effort to speed up the Web-surfing. This effort is tried to be achieved before Apple Inc releases the new version of the iPhone. This new version of the iPhone might run on the Verizon Wireless’s network.
AT&T had been actively trying to improve since the last December especially in the densely populated cities. In its effort to improve, the company has also added several new spectrum of network in an effort to handle the traffic. Along with that, the company had also improved the reception of the office towers through a repositioning of their antennas. This is expected to bring about much faster connections.
Inspite of hard attempts, the company has still not succeeded to meet t the demands of the customers in terms of the quality of service. In a poll which was conducted last month it was found that AT&T still ranks low in terms of call quality against the high quality Verizon Wireless’s network. However, AT&T claims that this year it would spend hefty amounts in improving the call quality. Now we have to wait more to see the results.
