Dan Wolley saved by iPhone in haiti

International websites are reporting a miracle of Haiti in which an American filmmaker trapped in the rubble of the earthquake in Haiti owes his salvation to his iPhone.

He has cleverly used his phone as a digital Swiss army knife to survive 65 hours until help arrived.

Dan Woolley found himself trapped under a pile of rubble when the earthquake occurred, wounding him in the leg and head. An application of first aid explained him how to stop the bleeding from his leg and how to make a bandage for his head and was warned to avoid falling asleep after a head trauma. (According to MSNBC.com.)

He has programmed the alarm of his iPhone with a trip every 20 minutes as a precaution.

Clearly this has succeeded and he was released 65 hours later. However it is not known exactly how to apply first aid he had consulted, which is fairly convenient if you have to download all the apps first aid on the day you have a problem.

The resourceful man followed instructions from an iPhone first-aid app to make a bandage and tourniquet for his leg and to stop the bleeding from his head, according to MSNBC.c
