Donald Kohn has decided to resign on Monday from the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System.
Donald Kohn, the vice chairman, has been a member of the Federal Reserve’s Board since August 2002, and served till 2006 as Vice Chairman has decided to curtail its services from June 23, 2010.
Kohn expressed in his letter to President Obama, Kohn, that it has been a great privilege to be a part of the U.S. central bank for more than 40 years. He started his career as a Financial Economist in the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City in 1970.
According to Kohn, the Federal Reserve staff and policy makers are the individuals of extraordinary ability.
Further expressing in the letter he said that he is confident about the history which he has judged in the Federal Reserve, under the leadership of Chairman Ben Bernanke.
