E-3: Electronic Entertainment Expo promises feast for gaming lovers

Gaming freaks all over the world will be vying for a chance to visit the Los Angeles Conventional Centre. No points in guessing why; the conventional centre will host the annual Electronic Entertainment Expo in the coming week.

The expo every year brings together thousands of gaming industry professionals and is a medium of showcasing the coming developments in this industry. The event has seen the launch of many games that have entertained gamers for long and at the same time set their pulse racing. As always this year’s expo promises to be as pulling as ever, and like all times it Is the future of videogames that will hog the limelight.

But the concentration will be more on the hardware that make the playing of these games all the more interesting. Big companies are planning to launch sophisticated machines that will extend the lives of the games already on the shelves. Besides the machines will also pull many new players into this action. Unfortunately the expo is closed to most of the public. The games and systems launched here will be enough to keep everyone hooked till more so such exciting options can come their way next year.

The Electronic Entertainment Expo opens on Tuesday. Among main players include Microsoft and Sony that will be up to catch the most number of eyeballs as possible with their launch. Microsoft will be concentrating on Project Natal it seems whereas Sony will be more in the 3-D section.

Natal is a Xbox 360 player that will allow the players to control the game just by their body movements.  The Natal was introduced at E3 last year by the Microsoft. Sony will bring a version of the Wii motion controller the PlayStation Move. The third major player in the race is Nintendo.  Nintendo brings 3DS that will be a next-generation portable hardware, featuring 3-D graphics that don’t require any special glasses for the 3-D effect.

Other parties include the Electronic Arts and Konami.Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo will deliver platform-oriented press conferences, while parties Electronic Arts and Konami will hold individual conferences to discuss their upcoming lineups.
