After a successful mission of 13 days which helped to integrate the ISS a new connecting node to the position and the observation dome, both built by the European industrial Thales Alenia Space, Endeavor and its crew returned on Earth at Kennedy Space Center of NASA. The STS-130 mission just ended with the landing of the shuttle Endeavor safely at 0320 GMT.
Four flights are still on the agenda of the U.S. space agency before it delivered its shuttle fleet by the end of the year. The astronauts spent 10 days orbiting the Earth and conducted three spacewalks to make the last two large modules of the ISS, whose construction is completed at Ninty percent.
One module contained a life support ensuring the integrity of the atmosphere throughout the resort. The second consisted of observation space equipped with seven windows.
The astronauts have completed the installation of these modules, the connection and the preparation of these new spaces.
NASA has also conducted a series of inspections after several computer problems aboard the ISS have not had any impact on the system of life support. The next mission will be led by the shuttle Discovery with a launch scheduled April 5.
