While travelling to space might not be a possible for most of the population NASA has plans to take your face to space that to totally free of cost. All that is required is one of our digital pictures and work with our pcs.
The last two missions to space before the retirement of the space planes will make this possible. NASA has asked public for their digital pictures and names which will go into the space along with the space shuttles.
The photographs and names can be uploaded to a new website under the “Face in Space” program. The last two space missions are scheduled as the STB-133 on September 9 this year and SBT-134 at a still undetermined date in November this year. However the space travel by our photos is possible only for those above 13 years of age. After our face has reached the space via our picture NASA gives us a commemorative Flight Certificate signed by the mission commander.
NASA’s space shuttle program Chief John Shannon while commenting on this said that ”The Space Shuttle Program belongs to the public, and we are excited when we can provide an opportunity for people to share the adventure of our missions,”
Hoe much ever absurd this whole exercise might seem its sure catching the public’s eyeballs. NASA has just announced this idea and already as many as 7,997 people from U.S. alone have signed up for it.
