The CEO of social networking site Facebook has decided to respond personally to attacks made on the respect for privacy on the site. In an opinion given to the Washington Post , Mark Zuckerberg acknowledges having several errors in the control measures of privacy.
Here are the excerpts which shows his acknowledgment on the same ” I know we have made several mistakes but I hope that in the end, our service will be better, and people understand that our intentions are good and that we respond to the concerns of our users .”
Zuckerberg stated that we have heard criticism. There is definitely an easier way to control information. In the coming weeks, we will add to Facebook a control system for personal information which will be easier to use. We’ll also give you an easy way to block the transmission of information to other sites .
The social network is not, however, at its first defendant. In May, Facebook had proposed to set up a preview to see his home page as it appears to a friend or contact. After a few days, it turned out that this option presents a major security flaw. A closer look, it allowed third check friend requests and messages disseminated via chat. In this regard, Facebook was, once again apologized.
