Google inks deal with Aardvark

Aardvark a social networking site has joined hands with the Search Giant. According to the reports the deal was inked for $50 million according to the technology blog TechCrunch.

Aardvark is a site which was formed in 2007, and develops software which is believes in interaction. It asks the users to post questions which are then passed on to the user’s contacts for possible answers. The company calls itself as a “social search engine”.

This purchase was in aid to the new site for social networking Buzz. Which is a directly linked into its Gmail Web-based email service unlike other social networking sites it uses services which taps a person’s network of social contacts automatically through its list of contacts in Gmail.

This is the sixth deal or the new acquisition which happened with Google until September. This time Google is taking no chances to have a flop show. It wants to capture the social networking market which is continuously fledging and already giving a threat to the online market of advertisement.
