Google supports HTC in the patent case against Apple, the company has announced this. The patents under which HTC makes breach, would be with the Android operating system by Google nexus one.
Apple tries to sue phone manufacturer HTC for violation of twenty patents. Google has announced a response to stand behind HTC.
The company partners would support Android operating system. Google’s cooperation with HTC among others led to the development of the Nexus One. A Google spokesperson said that “We are not a party to this lawsuit. However, we stand behind our Android operating system and the partners who have helped us to develop it.”
HTC would infringe the patents that relate to the interface, the architecture and the hardware of the iPhone. Among others in the lock screen and notifications would HTC technology from Apple. Notifications are an important part of the Android OS, so the lawsuit against Google HTC as a possible threat to the development of Android looks.
Google also activated in the Nexus One recent multitouch, a technology which Apple has an extensive patent. Moreover, Apple also with Nokia in a patent case involved, and now iPhone patents were violated.
