Google’s Buzz has got very large number of complaints dealing with privacy issues. And that is the reason why within a week of its getting launched the company was forced to make changes on its site.
This is the second time that the search engine giant was forced to make changes in the privacy settings of the social networking site.
The last time it made changes in its tools was during last Thursday, just a few days after the social site was launched.
Unlike the earlier version, the follow tools which are now present allows the user to choose the desired list of friends. The auto-follow that was present has been totally removed thus saving the privacy of the people.
Google in its blog has accepted the earlier mistake as being unpractical and said that the message is “loud and clear”.
The complaints came after Google Buzz was tagged to the Gmail accounts and this made the users become followers of other people without their consent.
As per the company, a new tag will be added to the Gmail accounts and the user can go into hiding mode by using that tag. And finally, Google Buzz will not synchronize automatically to other services like Google Reader.
