HP Slate @ 549 dollars and a 1.6 GHz Atom chip for HP Tablet

Engadget had recently published a booklet from the internal communication detailing the specifications of HP Tablet Slate. This document outlines the advantages and disadvantages of this model against the iPad. This Brochure is distributed internally at HP detailing the specifications of the Slate and for providing an argument with employees and partners of the American brand to counter the arrival of the Apple product.

The slate will have a touch screen and 8.9-inch multi-display capable of 1024 by 600 dots definition and with a light sensor and an accelerometer. Under the hood, HP chose the Atom processor Z530 with 1.6 GHz Intel partner to 32 or 64 GB flash memory versions and according to a UMA chipset Intel also signed.

Equipped with Windows 7, it has an SDHC memory card slot, a USB jack and two cameras (one VGA and a second 3 million pixels), which constitutes an element which is lacking the iPad . However, autonomy is capped at 5 o’clock, or half of what Apple offers the shelf. Finally listed prices, HP plans to launch the basic version to 549 dollars and a second version with more memory to 599 dollars.
