HTC Desire @ Rs 28900 in India

HTC Corporation has announced ‘HTC Desire’ for the Indian mobile market in partnership with Tata DOCOMO.  HTC Desire appeared at the Mobile World Congress 2010.

HTC Desire boasts 3.7-inch display, -GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.  The device is supported by android operating system that offers improved HTC’s Sense UI.  The handset offers 576MB of RAM, a little more in comparison to the Nexus One’s 512MB.  The handset incorporates 5 MPOcamera and the support for multi touch gestures.

HTC Desire offers FM Radio, Video Recording at WVGA resolution, 800*480.  For Tata DoCoMo post paid users, the phone comes with an exclusive offer that lets users to download 500 MB of data per month free of cost, for a period of 6 months. In order to avail this offer, Tata DOCOMO customers need to SMS ‘Android’ to 54321 from their HTC Desire.

HTC Desire is tagged at a price of Rs. 28,900.  The handset will be available at all authorized HTC resellers across the country.
