NASA , Imax and Warner Bros together have teamed up to direct and produce a wonderful piece of entertainment. This movie is now being played at National Air and Space Museum. This film is a daring mission to upgrade the space. This is a 3-D IMAX movie named “Imax Hubble 3D”.
Two different themes have been combined to produce this 40 minute film. The first part is a documentary of an astronaut while the second is an astronaut movie. The astronaut is shown to tour the cosmos.
Since the astronomical shots are enhanced by the computer, they have altogether achieved a wonderful effect. The movie would make one wonder if the universe is under some cosmetic improvements.
However, the movie is less dramatic compared to the mission that many people witnessed in reality. Critics commented that while zooming through the galaxy, the stars should have been shown to be like pointed objects with empty spaces in between them.
The movie also witnessed poor registration and some ghosting in the imagery. Thus the overall effect of this 3-D IMAX movie was not so great. It failed to satisfy the viewers at all.
