Japan Toyota in Trouble – acceleration complaints

Japan is going to be launch probe into 38 reports of unintended acceleration with Toyota Motor cars in Japan over the past three years, statement as per Japan’s Transport Minister Seiji Maehara.
According to transport minister “the large number of complaints for Toyota cars was in proportion to the automaker’s market share in Japan.” And it is including other automakers, and there were regular complaints over the last three years.

There were approx 8.5 million vehicles that faced such issues. Now, fresh look into acceleration issues has been driven in part by the heightened media coverage over the carmaker’s, most of which have come in the United States.

Japan government said: “Toyota cars is now going to be investigated for the given ongoing issues.”

The aforesaid investigation will focus on Toyota cars but it also includes other automakers in local market.
The very latest news comes from Toyota’s President Akio Toyoda “the company is going to prepare a report before a U.S. congressional panel later on Wednesday over safety issues that have led to the recalls, which has been blamed for at least five deaths.
