The Amazon sales activities are going at pace for the last 90 days. The company has sold more electronic books in comparison to the traditional format books. These are surprising results, which seem to have surprised the Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos. The recent pace of Kindle e-reader sales have in fact shown that sudden vitality, the sales increased dramatically every 30 days in the last quarter of operations of U.S. retailer. There were 143 books sold on Amazon Kindle compared with 100 in the classic paper cover. But CEO Jeff Bezos then illustrated the particular sales pace seen in this July, 180 books in electronic form, again in front of the 100 laid out according to traditional rules of printing.
Data, which have thus indicated a specific number of Kindle device sold in the last 90 days. But Bezos has seemed more than satisfied, even surprised. “We peaked with the new price of Kindle – said Amazon CEO in a recent press – Our customers now buy more of those e-books in paperback.
An exciting result, with activity of about 15 years selling books hardcover to be compared with just 33 months of the texts available on Kindle device. The merit of this exponential growth is largely attributable to the drastic reduction in the price of e-reader from Amazon, fell from 259 to $ 189. A strategic move with one simple goal, to follow in the footsteps of the other retailers Barnes & Noble, who had already lowered the price of its $ 149 to Nook. Same amount then required by Sony for its Sony Reader, Pocket Edition.
The success of the Kindle would be a denial on the field then all the observations made in favor of the new tablet made in Cupertino, iPad. There is in fact who said the market for electronic books is still hot and there is enough room for both competitors. Amazon should arrive later this year with 3.7 million sold for the Kindle.
A recent study conducted by the company Resolve Market Research has however shown that 50 percent of the holders (present, but also potential) iPad has not the slightest intention of buying at the same time an e-reader. While Steve Jobs back in June, spoke of his platform iBookstore as a fierce competitor, already captured 20 percent of the total market.
