Finally engineers reached the solution & get some success in spewing the leaking oil in gulf of Mexico. It was continuously spreading in the gulf of Mexico from almost one month. After trying many solutions from weeks now BP engineers get success very slowly to recover the spread oil.
BP engineers fitted a mile long tube to a damaged oil drilling well in the Gulf of Mexico and start capturing spewing oil. Engineers insert a small diameter tube into the damaged pipe from which most of the oil is leaking.

A senior executive vice president of BP, Kent Wells said, It’s working as planned. So we do have oil and gas coming to the ship now, we do have a flare burning off the gas, and we have the oil that’s coming to the ship going to our surge tank.”
Mr. Wells also said, “We want to slowly optimize it to try to capture as much of the oil and gas as we can without taking in a large amount of seawater.”
Environmental scientists were worried for damage of sea life & bed effect of this oil on sea animals for decades.
William Hogarth, dean of the University of South Florida’s College of Marine Science said, “This can’t be passed off as ‘it’s not going to be a problem. This is a very sensitive area. We are concerned with what happens in the Florida Keys.”
Samantha Joye, a professor of marine sciences at the University of Georgia said, “So, first you have oily water that may be toxic to certain organisms and also the oxygen issue, so there are two problems here. This can interrupt the food chain at the lowest level, and will trickle up and certainly impact organisms higher. Whales, dolphins and tuna all depend on lower depths to survive.”
Oil has been spewing since April 20, The government estimated that rate of oil spill is 210,000 gallons a day. This figure that has worried some scientists who fear it could be far more. BP executives have stood by the estimate while acknowledging there’s no way to know for sure.
