A new model of MacBook Air is being prepared by Apple secretly. Apple has decided to upgrade its light and thin laptop MacBook Air, turning it into a powerful yet compact netbook. The current year will witness the launch of a new, lighter and more compact version of the laptop MacBook Air. Apple Inc. will release a new model of laptop MacBook Air during the second half of 2010.
The main highlight of it will be a small display with a diagonal of 11.6 inches and powerful mobile processor Intel Core, made in energy-efficient version of the ULV.
The first model of the MacBook Air was introduced by Steve Jobs as the thinnest laptop in the world. Its thickness does not exceed 2 cm with a weight of a notebook in 1.36 kg.
Mingchi Kuo, an analyst at Digitimes says that the 11.6-inch MacBook Air will be manufactured by Quanta Computer and launched in the second half of 2010.
DigiTimes adds that the processes used to design and manufacture of this new model would be widely employed to other products in order to “boost their competitiveness”.
