Microsoft office 2011 at Macworld 2010

In this week’s Macworld expo, Microsoft launched a test series of its discovery, the upcoming Office 2011 specially built for Mac, although little tits and bits were shown in the test.

Microsoft people showed the Mac version’s new “ribbon” which is recommended as user interface and announcement was made that the same shall be shipped later this year. Company shared this news in media.

Further the officials announced that there shall be no “beta test” in the show on the contrary Microsoft has planned a “small private beta”.

Macworld 2010 is not owned by Apple (NASDAQ: MSFT) which, for the first time in the show’s history didn’t participate. The event is a production of IDG World Expo.

The existing and still counting users of the new version of Microsoft’s productivity suite shall collaborate with others running Office 2010’s on their PC next which is a version of Office including Web Apps. Web Apps are basically “webified” versions of the Office’s four main applications which is common to all, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote which runs on Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari browsers.

Further, Office 2011 for Mac shall be replacing the tours to mail and Outlook perspectives. The new version shall be supporting. PST files from Outlook for Windows.

The new version shall further be rejuvenating the Visual Basic, which had been mutilated from office 2008.

However Microsoft is yet to quote its price for Office 2011 for Mac. Company officials report that the new version is a creative rejuvenation to build the 2008 version up gradation.
