With much hype created over us Indians witnessing a new symbol of Indian Currency. It is concepted and created by D. Udaya Kumar 31, a post graduate student from country’s premier IIT, who now is serving as Assistant Professor at IIT Guhahati. It’s indeed a very honor’ble and proud moment for him and for us too. The symbol represents the right combination of Devnagari ‘ra’ and Roman script ‘R’ with a tricolour flag flying high at the top and an equal sign. This all has given it a visual significance and to stand out from other countries such as Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Indonesia etc. which share the same currency like us.
A Manglore based company Foradian Technology successfully made the font available to PC. This can be downloaded too & company’s blog can be consulted for the usage of the new celebrated font. This font is applicable on various applications which include MS EXCEL, LOTUS NOTES, and SILVERLIGHT AND VISUAL STUDIO too. It means the new symbol has become keyboard – efficient. Now, the big time question which genuinely comes to every Indian mind is Are we happy just by creating & making a Keyboard efficient symbol or it should become International efficient currency in the world economy. According to UN reports stating we Indians live in bracket of that poverty line where we have no so called economically bright future as such. Ignorance of state government and exploited by private sector people are turning to take laws in their hands. Our Prime Minister as rightly once said that the greatest threat to India is internal and not external. Had it been the India’s economic growth we would have felt much happier and prouder. Indians needs more than keyboard nationalism, we all can proudly held our head high if the resources are not only reserved by the cream of cream, should be within reach to the remotest rural Indian. Indian Rupee however depicted but should be distinctive among Pounds, Dollars and Yens.
