New ultra thin Apple MacBook and iPod on the way

Here is one device by Apple that has not quite made its way to the consumer’s hearts. Despite the thin and stylish design the MacBook Air is yet to make it big in the market.

The Air is a notebook that is made for the corporate executives that want to make it big among their fellows in terms of show-off and style. The notebook is however not made it anywhere despite of the tag of Apple attached with it.

The first glitch is the price itself. With a price tag of $1500 the notebook is inaccessible to many. Even after the lowering of the price from the initial offer of $1800 and the great design the device did not ring any bells at the market. But all is not lost and there still seems to be hope for the device.

The rumor has originated from the Taiwanese technology news site Digi Times that another pepped up version of Air is the pipeline. The USB of the upcoming device will be the ultra thin design, reportedly the coming Air notebook will have 11.6-inch display and an Intel Core i-series low voltage CPU. Analysts say that the device will be amazingly light in weight adding to the portability and eventually its popularity. It has been repeatedly expressed as the ambition of the Apple CEO Steve Jobs to create a notebook in the $500 price range with good features too.

However it is not even remotely possible that the device will cost anything less than $1000 and the device’s consumer targets will continue to be the executives. It will be aimed at the niche markets as the high-end business laptop. Apple’s high-end netbook will draw attention to its keyboard, display, and processor. The keyboard would need to be relatively spacious for a smaller notebook, the display ought to be a high-resolution screen and the low-voltage processor should not have any heating problems that have marred the older designs of the MacBook.

Also expected as per the site is the new iPod touch. Its expected to have as per the experts a 3-megapixel camera will feature Apple’s new A4 processor as seen in the iPhone 4. But contradicting it a U.K.-based rumor expressed that the iPod touch would give a 5-megapixel camera and FaceTime video chat in the user’s hands
