Optus launches own business focused application store

Optus, a subsidiary of Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel), has today launched its own application store providing many business applications for its customers. Optus is Australia’s second biggest telecommunications carrier and provides telecommunications services to more than 7 million customers in the Asia/Pacific region.

Optus Business App Store if first of its type in the industry from an Australian mobile carrier. The Business Application Store will provide a variety of new and innovative applications especially in area of business. The store will be very helpful to the small and medium as well as large enterprises as with the help of the recent business applications they would get the most out of their mobile devices.

“This dedicated Business App Store means our business customers can access a number of productivity-centric applications, amongst others, to help them in their day-to-day activities whilst they get on with their business,” said Rohan Ganeson, Optus’ Managing Director of Small and Medium Business.

According to Optus all the applications are business focused, from security, expense trackers and budgeting software to travel and productivity applications.
