Samsung, Panasonic and Sony 3D TVs in U.S.

Samsung, Panasonic and Sony are the first companies to commercialize this type of product in what is hoped will be the beginning of the era of the third dimension in the home

Samsung and Panasonic will begin selling 3D TVs in the U.S. this week, while Sony announced that starting in June.

Samsung Electronics began selling 3D two teams, which come with their respective lenses and players with Blu-ray third dimension.

In addition, Panasonic said its first 3D team will be in stores from Wednesday 10 March.

So far, not much 3D programming can be seen at these stations. Samsung includes a disc of the film “Monsters vs. Aliens on Blu-ray in their packages.

Sony reported from Tokyo that the company sells televisions 40 inches and up to 60 inches. A 46-inch 3D screen will cost around $3,898 which is 52% more expensive than a regular Sony flat screen television.
