Samsung unveils N150 LTE netbook at MCW in Barcelona : – Samsung has released the first Long Term Evolution (LTE) compatible netbook at the Mobile World Congress (MCW) in Barcelona.
LTE, or Long Term Evolution technology, offers super-quick mobile broadband, and is also known as 4G.
Samsung used its own Kalmia LTE modem chipset so it could squeeze the LTE capabilities into the 10.1-inch netbook size of the N150. It also comes with an integrated digital Livecam, internal microphone and headphone-out connection for video-conferencing, live messaging and VoIP telephony. Samsung the N150 offers up to 8.5 hours of battery life.
Specwise, it is a fairly standard netbook with an Atom N450 processor, Windows 7 Home, 1GB RAM, up to 250GB hard disk drive, Bluetooth, Wireless LAN, VGA, a webcam and a 6-cell battery plus a card reader.
“The N150 is the smart choice to meet all your essential mobile computing needs with style,” said Kyu Uhm, vice-president of Samsung IT Solutions Business.
Samsung confirmed in its press release that it will be according to “service schedule and market demand”.
