The partners which include Sony and Intel are all set to provide their expertise to the internet search giants.
The effort which is in the preliminary stages included many facets which consist of development of software which would allow users navigate web based offerings of television set. This would mean that the programmers create new programs and this could be used with the future televisions. This would include television with set top boxes of Blu Ray Players.
Another partner in this entire initiative is Logitech International SA, which is a company that creates personal-computer accessories. With television Google is all set to make its stand in interactive media stronger. The company has already ventured into software cell phones and as per experts it is now further poised to increase its revenue by gaining an entry into the TV sector.
With Google TV watchers are all set to get additional content from the interactive which is likely to improve their viewing experience.
As per the latest reports Google is trying out a new search device which would allow users to find satellite TV services from Google. However the whole initiative is yet in the primary stages and lot still remains to be done.
