In a fresh report Toyota Corolla cars have been reported to have a few problems with their steering. Their depleted image will definitely take a further hit if correction steps are not taken. Toyota officials have denied on any news of a recall of the Toyota cars further. Corolla is a key model and its recall would definitely do further damage to its brand name.
Toyota will recall the cars only if there are safety concerns over them. 55,000 models have ben sold in North America. Another recall of the Corolla will cost 5 billion yen to 6 billion yen ($55 million to $66 million) to the company, once known for its unbeatable quality.
Shares of Toyota closed down 0.6 percent at 3,360 yen, under performing the index.
